July meeting ride.... "JOURNEY WITH JEFF"  Shocked
The ride takes us round trip from Lancaster to McConnellsville to Zanesville then back to Flying J on 158.
Don't miss it!  The "Princess" will make sure there's ice cream involved....yum!  Grin

A wing isn't an old mans bike, it's a wise mans bike. Often that wisdom comes with age.

We had a great turn out for our July meeting ride, 10 people and 7 bikes not bad for a holiday weekend.
The ride had a couple of mis-haps.
Let me see if if I can give you all the full details:
*we started out waiting on my bike getting a new battery (it died on me Friday night getting ready to go to work)finally left LSC around 10:15-10:30
* headed out down Coonpath Rd to 22 - took 22 into Somerset and ran into their July 4th parade
* detoured back down 668 to Junction City then into New Lexington (trying to beat the start of their parade)
* arrived in McConnelsville around 12:00, ate at the Blue Bird Dinner.
* Chuck had prior commitments and headed back to Lancaster and the rest of us changed our route and headed to
   Marietta, stopped at a dealership
* left Marietta around 3pm headed u 77 to the next exit for fuel and our back road route 821 for the ride north
* we all fueled and CJ had a klunking sound coming from his transmission area. We took the covers off made a few calls
and made the determination to trailer the bike home for safety reasons.
* Kelli, Brian, Jeff (Brian's brother), Larry and myself headed for Pataskala while Jim, Karla, CJ, and Annette waited &
waited & waited & waited for us to return
* Jeff (Brian's brother) let us use his trailer and kelli & I  got back down to Marietta around 8:15pm, we loaded the bike and headed for
   Westerville
* we arrived in Westerville around 10:30 just as their fireworks were ending, unloaded the bike went and got food.
* Kelli and I returned home around midnight and crashed.

Total bike miles from Lancaster to Pataskala for Kelli & I was 216 miles

All & all it was a great day with great friends even though we had a couple of mis-haps, but we all rallied together and made things work out for all.

Thanks to everyone who came, rode , and was there to help.
