Hopefully, you remembered that 480 is riding with you on this one.  We will meet at the Sunoco by 9:00 AM.  Some members are planning to spend the night in WV Saturday evening.

OK....minor schedule adjustment.  Still leaving @ 9 but we're gonna ride the route backwards.  This will accomplish 2 things:
1. Earlier lunch time to hopefully beat the bigger lunch crowd.
2. Allow more time for those that want to take in the River Rally in Ironton

So, we'll take 33/159/35/WV-2 to Hillbilly then head east 35 miles or so to Ironton for the rally.
Then a scenic ride back on 93.  (Cliff & Brenda...If you want, we can meet you in Chili on the way down.  Just let me know where.)

For those not interested in visiting the rally, you can double back from Hillbilly or take 93 out of Ironton to 33 or pick up 35 in Jackson.

I'm heading to Ironton at 0-dark-thirty tomorrow morning to scout the location of the rally Smiley

Any questions?  e-mail me or post here.

Pre-Ride is done!  Had some brutal fog between Chillicothe & the river this morning Shocked

We should arrive at HHD around 11:30am (depending on how the stops go)
There will be 2 stops on the way down.  1 just south of Chillicothe and the other in WV before we get to HHD.  I suggest getting gas at the 2nd stop or in Ironton before leaving the rally.  That should get you through Ironton and to Wellston if you have at least a 100 mile range. I did the whole route on 1 stop and clocked exactly 297.0 miles round trip from Dogwood Crossing to home.  Ironton to home via 93 & 33 took 2.5 hours.

The River Rally appears to be a pretty big deal.  30,000+ bikes expected, food & biker vendors, concerts and other events.  Real easy to get to because 93 dead ends into the hub of the event.  The street will be closed to all traffic exept for motorcycles & motorcycle parking.  I spoke to some organizers and vendors and all were super nice said it's a really great event!  (I even got a couple freebies from one of the event staff Grin) Thanks, Mike for suggesting the stop!
Road Conditions:
All roads are clear except a couple small sections of route 7 on the way to Ironton that are in the process of being re-paved.  Nothing tragic, just some rough/grooved road surface.  They probably won't be working on Saturday though.

Thanks for posting the schedule Jim.  I'd like to see Bubba too but plan on bagging no later than 5:30 or 6.  Gage is coming with me and I don't want to be riding through the hills after dark with him.  Too many wildlife & blind curves.  If it were just me, I'd risk it.  Actually, if I didn't have to work on Sunday I'd just get a hotel down the road in Ashland and come home Sunday.  Friday night looks great too.  They've got Blackberry Smoke playing.  They're a really good blues/rock band...Have some of their songs on my Mp3.  Oh well....Maybe next year.

Great ride yesterday!  Hit several rain storms on the way home and I think I met Noah on 33 between Logan and Lancaster around 7:30 PM.  Now that was some RAIN!!!  It was good to see you all again.  Take care.

Sorry we got seperated. Emergency potty stop! Cliff & I stayed to see Bubba but the show was rained out by 9 so we headed home. At 8:30 it started raining like a cow p&%$#sing on a flat rock! Let me tell you. Comming up through Wayne national on 93 at dark thirty in the rain is NOT something I want to do again! Shocked We got home bout 12:30 though all ok. Had a great time and got our weenies on so it was worth it! Great ride Brian.

We also had a good time, hit the rain just north of Circleville. While we was trying to wait it out Brett and Lorrie pulled in so we sat and talked for over an hour and waitedtill it passed. We finally got home around 6:30 and once we were in the garage it started raining again. Glad to here everyone made it home (little wet) but we have all been rained on before.

Brian, Thanks again for planning the ride, Kelli & I  needed a day to get away from everything.
