If you were not at the meeting last weekend, I brought up for discussion to the ladies about doing a "Girls Day Out" for some pampering. The Ohio State Schools of Cosmetology are offering all face and body treatments 50% for the month of March. I have been to the Spa School (5050 N. High St, across from Graceland Shopping Center) several times; their spa is pretty nice. All the treatments are done by students getting ready to graduate, and are overseen by licensed professors. I called the other day, questioning the 50% treatments and availability for March. As of right now, Saturday, March 19th is wide open. The gal suggested if we have a group wanting to come in at the same time, we should probably get booked ASAP. All the treatments that are 50% include facials and body treatments. Unfortunately, hand & feet are not included (so no pedicures or manicures are on sale). The webpage is
www.salonschools.com; click Southern Comfort, that is the High Street location. You will be able to view the services menu.
My suggestion would be for those that are interested we meet for breakfast early, and then go for our pampering. I will likely get a facial, and I really do not want to go for lunch afterwards w/o any makeup and my hair messy! I am also thinking about a body treatment since it's 50% off. A nice way to relax!
When appointments are made you have to make a 50% deposit to hold the appt, and in case you're a no show. They book students to be there for services so they do not want students there and then no shows. I suggest we made a decision if you want to do this no later than February 23. That will give me a few days before March 1 to call to see if I can set up a group appt. If you plan to participate, please post, email or call me and let me know what you want to do service-wise, so when I speak with the spa I can tell them how many, and the services we want.
I hope this is a fun way to get the girls together, especially those who do not ride, but want to join us chapter gals in socializing. Also, if you have other suggestions for "girl" things to do throughout the year please post them.
Thanks,
Kelli
